Tip 3.
Ask your kids to lay on some coloured pillows, a blanket or piece of fabric on the floor. You can photograph them from above. Standing next to them or on a chair. Watch out not to photograph your own shadow! Tip 4.
Are you shooting inside? Turn on as many lights as possible in that room and use your flash on the camera. Tip 5.
Think of what product of (beautiful)bag you are shooting for. This way you'll know whether to make the photos landscape or portrait. Try to zoom in on the faces a little bit.

Would you like to have a collage made by us?
Below an example of two different collages.
This could mean a lot of work (every photo still gets to be edited). We will calculate a price depending on the amount of photos you would like to have on your product. Once the collage has been made, few changes are possible. It will also be billed when the client rejects the collage, since we have put our precious time in it.
Big wallet, wallet or lunchbag:
• 3 photos: €3.50
• 4 photos: €4
• 5 photos: €4.50
• 6 photos: €5 etc.
We recommend you a maximum of 4 photos on a wallet, and a maximum of 6 photos on a washbag. The images will become too small if more images are used on this size.
1. Selecting your personal photo
- Try choosing a photo suitable for the design of your choice.
When choosing a shoulderbag, it would be wise to choose a portrait photo. If you wish a shopper, then a landscape photo qualifies best. (beautiful)bag can crop the image in a way it fits the design, but be sure that everything that you would like to be shown on your (beautiful)bag can be within the cropping-area.
- Try to select a photo with sufficient space around your main subject.
This gives us space to make the image fit the best way possible. Photos where the subject touches the edge of the photo might result in loosing some information. In order to be able to zoom in, we'll need good quality photos.
The white line shows the stitching-border.
Everything outside this line will not be seen on your finished bag:

- Dark images are not advisable.
This will negatively influence the final result. In our experience, to make dark images better for printing, the editing can cause strange spots or skincolour with bigger pixelation. Please take this into consideration while choosing your photo(s).
- Your photos will be edited by (beautiful)bag, we seek to get the best result possible for your photo.
Every photo gets our personal attention: colors will become brighter and deeper, the contrast higher. Please inform us if you don’t require this additional editing service. (beautiful)bag will look carefully at each photo that you send in order to analyze the special care it might require.

The photo of the boy at the right is an example that dark photos are less suitable than lighter photos. This photo is not accepted.
- Plainer backgrounds are the best.
We prefer photos with an obvious focus of one or few subjects. Changing the whole background doesn't always give the best result. Look at how a plain background can positively effect the end-result on your bag.
It looks superb on a (beautiful)bag. This example also shows how (beautiful)bag crops a landscape photo to make it suitable for a shoulderbag. Both faces still fit nicely inside the given margin of the bag.

The photo below might be a bit risky.
The faces of the children just fit inside the cropping-area of your bag. (beautiful)bag can’t guarantee that everything will show on your bag. We will inform you when this is the case.

- Are you having difficulties judging your photo(s) for its quality?
Please mail the photo(s) to beautifulbag@gmail.com. (beautiful)bag will reply f.o.c with our opinion of your photo(s).
2. Digital photos
- Your digital photo(s) should be no less than 3.0 megapixels and saved as JPEG.
It is impossible to make a high quality bag from a poor quality image. - The photos meant for a shoulderbag or shopper, should have a minimum size of 1mb and maximum 3mb.
Images of lesser quality could be used, provided that the light in the photo is sufficient. Even then the crispness and clarity of the printed image will be effected to a certain degree. If we feel that the quality of the image is too poor to be able to make a (beautiful)bag, we will contact you to discuss the problem. If the quality is sufficient we will confirm this as well through email. - The photos meant for a KIDZbag should have a minimum size of 500kb, and photos meant for a wallet, minimum 350kb.
3. Scanned images
- Your bag is only as beautiful as your photo(s).
Therefore it is important to provide a good image. We prefer to receive the original photo, ONLY quality printouts of images can be used. Poor printouts on low quality paper will produce a bad image once scanned. No magazine/newspaper photos or images can be used. The paper these are printed on cannot be scanned to produce a clear image. - Please scan your image at size A5, 300dpi
(appr. 21cm x 15cm) and save them as JPEG. Good quality scans can produce good quality prints for your bag. Poorly scanned images may be rejected due to poor quality when printing the image on tarpaulin. We would then request a new image from you.
4. Your instructions for (beautiful)bag
- Cropping instructions are very important.
Anything important on your photo that has to be shown within the cropping-area (that will be printed on your bag), can be described in an email sent to brigitte@beautiful-bag.com after ordering your (beautiful)product.
- Removing red eyes can also be stated in the cropping instructions.
If the your photo has a date on it, we will remove this. But if you do NOT want it to be removed, please tell us in the cropping instructions.
5. Images which are not suitable for printing on your bag
- Photos which might cause offence will be refused.
- When your photo contains a copyright, please be sure to have obtained the relevant permission beforehand. This is particularly important if any customer brings in a photo of a celebrity or similar. (beautiful)bag will have to reject images from book-illustrations and filmposters, or parts thereof.
- Without your confirmation of the final edited photo(s), (beautiful)bag can’t start the production of your bag –
Note: The results of the photos above are not a standard. It fully depends the photos that we receive
